Lights, camera, action! 📸🎥 Students in Mr. Chad Darnall's Media Arts & Cinematography program attended a media workshop at Murray State today! The day brought the opportunity for networking and to get a better look at what all goes on behind the scenes!

HVAC, anyone?! Mr. Jarvis's Ag Mechanics students have been working hard to install new cooling components into the Ag Department's research greenhouse! We can't wait to see it up and running!

Foundational skills pave the road to success! Mr. Burkeen’s Electrical Technology students completed a conduit bending test to show off the hands-on skills they’ve been building in class. Great work!

Engineering is in the building! We're so excited to have Mr. Hayden and students in MCTC, and we can't wait to see the new Makerspace setup as we progress in renovations. In this photo, Mr. Hayden is working with students to draft a 3D print model. More to come!

Mr. Ross and students have been working hard to get our TV announcement boards up and rolling for the school year! These IT classes do a great job of collaborating with teachers and students to organize and share information regarding upcoming events and to highlight MCTC and MCHS CTE programs.

The Medicaid Nurse Aide class participated in their clinicals at Calvert City Convalescent Center on 4/17 & 4/21. Congratulations to these students for advancing in the Health Sciences pathway and pursuing careers in the health sciences field!

30 of our HOSA students competed in 20 categories during the HOSA State Leadership Conference in Louisville, KY. The following students placed in the top 5 in their category. Ayen Arceo - 2nd place in Research Poster Sarah Reynolds - 1st place in Pharmacy Science Skylar Waller - 3rd place in Medical Assisting Hadley Bynum, Ava Driver, and Hannah Kolb - 4th place in Biomedical Debate Kylie Strait - placed top 5 in Biotechnology

Today, students in our Carpentry Program had the opportunity to partner with Calvert City Convalescent Center on a service learning project! Students were able to employ and showcase skills that they have learned, and CCCC has some great looking wall signs!

On Thursday, IT students traveled to MSU to participate in Tech Mania. This is an annual event hosted by MSU's Cyber Education Department. Students participated in competitive events in cable making, digital forensics, decoding data, wifi hunting, and digital analysis. Great work!

Friday, Electrical students competed in the Regional Skills USA Electrical Contest. Ryder Rives placed third with Maddox Cope taking sixth overall! Jaden Cannon will compete in Electrical 1 later this semester for state competition. Great work to all! Friday, MCTC hosted the Regional Skills USA Carpentry Contest in our newly renovated classrooms! Great job to all involved, and many thanks to the teachers and judges who worked to prepare the next generation of the construction industry!

Today MCHS students interested in pursuing a career in education attended the Regional Educators Rising Conference at Murray State University, where they participated in sessions covering a variety of career opportunities & skills needed in the education field. We're excited to see so many future educators!

FBLA members enjoyed their educational experience at the Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchill Downs, where they explored career paths in the thoroughbred industry. The day included an in-depth look into the business operations behind horse racing, a guided tour of the historic venue, and the chance to witness live racing. This hands-on experience highlighted the diverse career opportunities within the industry, inspiring students to think about the intersection of business and sports management. Mission River was today's race winner, and the horse's jockey donned our school colors!
